Happy Birthday Ryan!

6.28.12
Happy 26th Birthday Ryan!!! This year we celebrated it a few times.  The weekend before we went to Joe's Crab Shack with my parents and nephew for dinner.  Ryan was a trooper while they sang to him.
"I got crabs from this horse"
When they were singing to him, they would have him yet "he got crabs from this horse"  We weren't sure why.
I always seem to wrap his presents in grocery ads due to their weird size. This year he got 2 sets of rubber mats for his truck, a leather man and Step Brothers.  He got two sets b/c I had already bought him a set from the dealership and later that night he called me and said that Costco had a set.  I said to go ahead and get them so he wouldn't think I already had some for him.  His set was $15 and mine was $110.  We took my set back, I think it was a good decision.
That night we went to Pei Wei for his birthday dinner.  He doesn't like cake so I made him a banana cream pie and coconut cream pie.  I always make him blow candles out while I sing.  He is a trooper.
For the past few years I have tried to throw him a surprise party and he has found out every time.  I thought for sure this year I could trick him.  I decided to throw the party the day after his birthday.  He thought I was throwing a surprise party on his real birthday bc Todd McClellan asked him to go to the shooting range and I said he could go.  Ryan thought I was trying to get him out of the house and I thought I would be the "cool" wife and let him go.  When he got home and was unwrapping his presents he asked if I had people hiding in our house.  I told him no.  Little did he know....there would be people hiding the next day...
On Saturday I was making cup cakes while he was gone and while I was pulling them out of the oven he pulled in the drive way.  I scrambled to hide them but he saw me doing that.  He had a clue what was going on. When he got home from work everyone came out and yelled "SURPRISE!!"
He wasn't to surprised but it was till a fun party.

Todd and Malory.  Molly found a comfy spot on Mallory's lap, she stayed there for awhile

After the party, we went swimming. Ryan "borrowed" Christine's top and was all ready to go.
After it was all said and done, it was a pretty fun birthday.  I have come to the conclusion that I am horrible at throwing surprise parties.  One year  I will get him.

Happy Birthday to ME!!!

4.09.2012
Hollar its my birthday!!! I turned 29!  For my birthday Ryan said he would take me to Disneyland.  Woo Hoo! My dream present! But my actual birthday day was a blast.  I went to lunch with my mom, sisters, sisters in laws, and Ryan.  We went to Cafe Rio, my favorite lunch spot.  Since we were going to California the next week I asked Ryan to grill steak with twice baked potatoes so we could stay home and hang out.
our yummy dinner, I'm sure we had some sort of veggie

Molly was all smiles after she got a few steak left overs and a the bone to chew on.
Jami, my sister made me a cover for my bike basket.  Now Molly can ride in comfort. Plus it's so cute!

Birthday Boy

Someone had a birthday on June 28!!  Yep it was RYAN!!!!  He turned 25!  We didn't just celebrate his birthday but he had a birthday week.  We celebrated a few different times.
On his birthday some friends came over and brought fireworks and who were they....
PATRICK, CHRISTINE AND KATIE!!  Whoo hoo!! Patrick and Katie are wearing shirts with his face on it.  He felt so honored.
They brought pizza, and we had a party!
He got a sweet back scratcher,
Arizona shirt with horses on it, yes I said horses and a gift card from his awesome friends.
Molly of course was invited.
I got him stuff to use when he goes hunting and
a gun case.  I got fancy this year and used grocery ads to wrap his presents.
PS Apples were on sale that week at Frys.
Ryan prefers pie to cake so I got him a german chocolate pie and a mini banana cream pie. They were super yummy.  We couldn't find candles so we resorted to using a lighter.  We are classy!
It took a few tries to get it to stay lit. Doesn't Ryan look good in his horse shirt, I thought so.
That weekend Ryan and I had a fancy night.  We went to Home Depot, Carabas and almost made it to a movie, but it was to late to go. On Saturday we went to Ah-So.  It was a great weekend!  Happy birthday baby!  You're the bestest friend I could ask for!

Someone's a year older...

It's me!!! My 28th birthday was great this year.  I inching my way to 30 and it freaks me out.  That plus for the next 2 months I am 4 years older than Ryan.  I like to play the "I'm older card" when I'm trying to win a fight or make a point.  It hardly works.
My birthday was on a Saturday so I got to spend the whole day with Ryan.  While I did hair for a little bit in the morning Ryan ran and got me Jamba Juice, flowers and a card.  He's so sweet.  We thought since my birthday was on a Saturday we would go and get all the free stuff you get for your birthday.
First Stop...Joe's Farm Grill.  They give you a free meal.  It was our first time there and it was so good.  We would definaly go back.
Next...welll...we were driving by Joe's BBQ in Gilbert, so we stopped by there after lunch and got some BBQ for the next day, since it was going to be free.  On Sunday during lunch, we were glad we did.

Next...we went to Krispy Kreme to get the free dozen dounuts.
That night we went to Charlestons' for dinner.  It wasn't the best idea b/c we weren't that hungry from all the eating we did through out the day.  That night Ryan surprised me and we meet some friends and went dancing in Scottsdale.  I always forget how much I love to dance. I don't care what people think and do my thing.  We have a fabulous time.
THANK YOU RYAN FOR THE GREAT BIRTHDAY!!!!

Happy 24th birthday

6.28.10
Nope it's not Christmas, it's Ryan's 24th birthday.  I could only find Christmas wrapping paper to wrap his presents.  I tried to throw him a surprise birthday party this year, but of course he figured it out.  We meet up with his friends at Yard House, one of Ryan's favorite resturants.  I didn't take my camera in with me, so I don't have any pictures.  He had a great birthday!!!
p.s. yes his face is on his shirt.
I got him a pie b/c he loves them more than cake.  I found this really awesome pie place by my house.  It's on Power and Brown and it's called Croshaws Gourmet Pies.  They are so good.  I got Ryan a banana creme and I tried a mini coconut cream.  LOVE!
