Happy Birthday to ME!!!

Hollar its my birthday!!! I turned 29!  For my birthday Ryan said he would take me to Disneyland.  Woo Hoo! My dream present! But my actual birthday day was a blast.  I went to lunch with my mom, sisters, sisters in laws, and Ryan.  We went to Cafe Rio, my favorite lunch spot.  Since we were going to California the next week I asked Ryan to grill steak with twice baked potatoes so we could stay home and hang out.

Jami, my sister made me a cover for my bike basket.  Now Molly can ride in comfort. Plus it's so cute!

Easter, Easter and More Easter

Easter morning I had a special note from "Floppy" aka Ryan.  I did as I was told.

 It was the hardest egg hunt I have ever been on.  There were only 15 eggs all hidden in our backyard.  I had to do some serious hunting to find them.  They were hidden in trees, the pool, lights, everywhere. Each egg had a Kit Kat and dollar bills.  Floppy was nice to me this year. It took me about an hour to find all of them.

 That night we went to my parents house for the annual Easter egg hunt. It's always a fun time to watch all the kids find the eggs.  My dad always hides a few money eggs with $5 bills in them.  You're lucky to find those. We had dinner, family home evening lesson, then on to the egg hunt.

'I'm going to be a big sister!"

 Best trick I ever played on my parents! 

They totally fell for it.

We went over to my parents house for dinner but before we walked in we put this sign around Molly's neck.  We had her walk in first and all they saw was a paper around her neck.  They finally pinned her down and read it.  They were so excited for a second then they lifted the flap.  It was funny!  We got a good laugh out of it. 

Pretzel Time

On conference Sunday I got the bright idea to make homemade pretzels that I saw on Pintrest.  That website is so additive. They were a process but fun to make.  I find yeast tricky to use and this was only the second time I have used it.  I learned my lesson with the bread sticks, so I let it activate this time.  They turned out pretty good.  I didn't want to mess with making the usual pretzel shapes so stuck to sticks instead.

I took them over to my parents house for everyone to try, they were well received.  I don't know if I will take on that venture again, I will stick to getting some at the mall.

Breadsticks or just sticks

I think I should blame Pintrest but I have been trying to cook and make more things.  This night I decided to try to make breadsticks.  I have never made any type of bread so this was an adventure.  

This is them after I baked them.  They don't look much like breadsticks, it was pretty much a big fail.  I blame that I didn't let the yeast activate.  

My taste tester.  He said they tasted good but looked funny.  We called them sticks instead of breadsticks.

I love WICKED.  Ryan said he would take me when we were dating but it didn't work out.  This time when it came, he said he would take me again but since my mom got me a ticket, he got out of taking me AGAIN.   I didn't care, I was excited to go!!

I went with my sister Jami, mom Donna, and sister in laws Rachel and Melissa.  It was an awesome night of Dilly's Deli, Mojo Yogurt, and WICKED!!!

2nd Anniversary

We made it 2 years.  Who would have thought.  ha! 

A few nights before our anniversary Ryan and told me about this doughnut shop by our house, Bosa Doughnuts. I told him that I wouldn't mind trying them b/c I have heard a few people talking about them.  So on the morning of our anniversary I showed up to work and there was a special surprise on my desk.  

A Diet Dr Pepper with vanilla, my most favorite treat, and a doughnut and doughnut holes from Bosa.  The breakfast of champions.  They were good, I am a lucky girl! 

That night we went to BJ's Brewery for dinner.  We cleaned up!  After we went by Golden spooned and got some yogart for later.  It was a great day!  We love spending time together.
